Stats and Stat Score
Electrode has 97 HP, 141 speed and a 1.14x attack multiplier. The multiplier scales every move it uses, so it is the number to watch.
Compared with the whole roster, its HP is below average, its speed is among the best on the roster and its attack is below average. Weighting attack at half and HP and speed at a quarter each gives the Stat Score of 61.5, which puts it at rank 284 overall, rank 30 of 151 among Kanto Pokemon and rank 25 of 64 Electric-types. The score comes from the game's stat table, not from playtests, so read it together with the best Pokemon guide.
On the full Pokedex ranking Electrode sits next to Dhelmise one place above it and Vanilluxe one place below it.

Electrode moves
Pokemon that are not starters begin with the signature move of their first type, so Electrode starts every run with Thunder Shock: a lightning-fast bolt that pierces several enemies.
The level-up cards can then offer 11 different moves: the 8 Normal moves that every Pokemon shares plus 3 moves of its own type. Moves level up to level 5 and can evolve once you also take the stat card they need, which is covered in the move evolution guide. The permanent Repertoire upgrade adds a second, random starting move; see the upgrades guide.
- Normal moves: Tackle, Quick Attack, Swords Dance, Agility, Harden, Body Slam, Hyper Voice, Substitute
- Electric moves: Thunder Shock, Discharge, Thunderbolt
Weaknesses and resistances
Electrode takes extra damage from Ground (1.6x). It resists Electric (0.6x), Flying (0.6x), and Steel (0.6x). The remaining 14 of 18 types deal normal damage. The chart is softer than the main games: a super-effective hit is x1.6, a resisted hit x0.6 and an immunity x0.3, and two types multiply with each other inside the range 0.3 to 2.4. See the type chart guide for every matchup.
The multipliers apply to the damage you take, and enemies attack with the first type listed for them, so the dangerous enemies for Electrode are the ones whose first type is Ground. Boss shots carry their first type too. Weather does not change these numbers, but it changes your own damage; see the weather guide. There is no same-type bonus, so Electric moves do not hit harder just because Electrode shares the type.
How to get Electrode
Electrode is part of the Kanto banner. A single pull first picks a rarity (17% for Rare) and then picks one of the 38 Rare Pokemon on that banner at random, so one pull gives Electrode a 0.45% chance. Without pity helping at this rarity, expect to need around 224 pulls for this one in particular, although the pulls you spend on the banner also fill the rest of your collection.
A pull costs one ticket and ten pulls cost ten tickets or one x10 ticket. Tickets are earned in runs, from missions and from chests and are never sold for money. A duplicate turns into 60 coins, or 180 if it is the shiny version. The full odds and the pity rule are in the gacha guide.
A rarity-3 Pokemon like Electrode can also turn up as the Lost Pokemon event in a run. Lead it to the marker and, one time in five, it joins your collection; you always get coins, a ticket and a heal.
Shiny Electrode exists in this game. One pull in a hundred is a shiny, and wild enemies are shiny one time in 4096. Read the shiny guide for the details.
Electrode as an enemy
Electrode can show up as a regular enemy from 4:20 into the run (enemy tier 4). Each run draws only seven Pokemon per tier, so it is in some runs and absent from others.
Its enemy role is bomber: it rushes you, lights a short fuse when it is next to you and explodes.
It is also strong enough to be picked as a boss: it can fill the minute 3 slot. Boss fights are laid out in the bosses guide. Its attack set would be a ground slam, a straight charge, a fan of beams, and falling danger zones.
