Stats and Stat Score

Natu has 88 HP, 107 speed and a 1.08x attack multiplier. The multiplier scales every move it uses, so it is the number to watch.

Compared with the whole roster, its HP is among the lowest on the roster, its speed is about average and its attack is below average. Weighting attack at half and HP and speed at a quarter each gives the Stat Score of 37.8, which puts it at rank 688 overall, rank 73 of 100 among Johto Pokemon and rank 75 of 96 Psychic-types and 80 of 102 Flying-types. The score comes from the game's stat table, not from playtests, so read it together with the best Pokemon guide.

On the full Pokedex ranking Natu sits next to Woobat one place above it and Hippopotas one place below it.

Natu moves

Pokemon that are not starters begin with the signature move of their first type, so Natu starts every run with Confusion: a wave that homes in on its target.

The level-up cards can then offer 15 different moves: the 8 Normal moves that every Pokemon shares plus 7 moves of its own types. Moves level up to level 5 and can evolve once you also take the stat card they need, which is covered in the move evolution guide. The permanent Repertoire upgrade adds a second, random starting move; see the upgrades guide.

Weaknesses and resistances

Natu takes extra damage from Electric (1.6x), Ice (1.6x), Rock (1.6x), Ghost (1.6x), and Dark (1.6x). It resists Ground (0.3x), Fighting (0.36x), Grass (0.6x), and Psychic (0.6x). The remaining 9 of 18 types deal normal damage. The chart is softer than the main games: a super-effective hit is x1.6, a resisted hit x0.6 and an immunity x0.3, and two types multiply with each other inside the range 0.3 to 2.4. See the type chart guide for every matchup.

The multipliers apply to the damage you take, and enemies attack with the first type listed for them, so the dangerous enemies for Natu are the ones whose first type is Electric, Ice, Rock, Ghost, or Dark. Boss shots carry their first type too. Weather does not change these numbers, but it changes your own damage; see the weather guide. There is no same-type bonus, so Psychic or Flying moves do not hit harder just because Natu shares the type.

How to get Natu

Natu is part of the Johto banner. A single pull first picks a rarity (30% for Uncommon) and then picks one of the 21 Uncommon Pokemon on that banner at random, so one pull gives Natu a 1.43% chance. Without pity helping at this rarity, expect to need around 70 pulls for this one in particular, although the pulls you spend on the banner also fill the rest of your collection.

A pull costs one ticket and ten pulls cost ten tickets or one x10 ticket. Tickets are earned in runs, from missions and from chests and are never sold for money. A duplicate turns into 30 coins, or 90 if it is the shiny version. The full odds and the pity rule are in the gacha guide.

A rarity-2 Pokemon like Natu can also turn up as the Lost Pokemon event in a run. Lead it to the marker and, one time in five, it joins your collection; you always get coins, a ticket and a heal.

Shiny Natu exists in this game. One pull in a hundred is a shiny, and wild enemies are shiny one time in 4096. Read the shiny guide for the details.

Natu as an enemy

Natu can show up as a regular enemy from 0:00 into the run (enemy tier 1 and 2). Each run draws only seven Pokemon per tier, so it is in some runs and absent from others.

Its enemy role is beamer: it fires a long ray after a one-second warning line on the ground.
