Stats and Stat Score
Slaking has 138 HP, 120 speed and a 1.58x attack multiplier. The multiplier scales every move it uses, so it is the number to watch.
Compared with the whole roster, its HP is among the best on the roster, its speed is well above average and its attack is among the best on the roster. Weighting attack at half and HP and speed at a quarter each gives the Stat Score of 100, which puts it at rank 1 overall, rank 1 of 135 among Hoenn Pokemon and rank 1 of 120 Normal-types. That makes Slaking the best Normal-type pick on stats alone. The score comes from the game's stat table, not from playtests, so read it together with the best Pokemon guide.
On the full Pokedex ranking Slaking sits next to Eternatus one place below it.

Slaking moves
Pokemon that are not starters begin with the signature move of their first type, so Slaking starts every run with Tackle: charges in an arc at everything in front of you.
The level-up cards can then offer 8 different moves: the 8 Normal moves that every Pokemon shares. Moves level up to level 5 and can evolve once you also take the stat card they need, which is covered in the move evolution guide. The permanent Repertoire upgrade adds a second, random starting move; see the upgrades guide.
- Normal moves: Tackle, Quick Attack, Swords Dance, Agility, Harden, Body Slam, Hyper Voice, Substitute
Weaknesses and resistances
Slaking takes extra damage from Fighting (1.6x). It resists Ghost (0.3x). The remaining 16 of 18 types deal normal damage. The chart is softer than the main games: a super-effective hit is x1.6, a resisted hit x0.6 and an immunity x0.3, and two types multiply with each other inside the range 0.3 to 2.4. See the type chart guide for every matchup.
The multipliers apply to the damage you take, and enemies attack with the first type listed for them, so the dangerous enemies for Slaking are the ones whose first type is Fighting. Boss shots carry their first type too. Weather does not change these numbers, but it changes your own damage; see the weather guide. There is no same-type bonus, so Normal moves do not hit harder just because Slaking shares the type.
How to get Slaking
Slaking is part of the Hoenn banner. A single pull first picks a rarity (1.5% for Legendary) and then picks one of the 13 Legendary Pokemon on that banner at random, so one pull gives Slaking a 0.12% chance. Every banner has its own pity counter: the 70th pull without a 5-star is always a 5-star, which works out to about 43.5 pulls per 5-star and roughly 566 pulls to land this particular one.
A pull costs one ticket and ten pulls cost ten tickets or one x10 ticket. Tickets are earned in runs, from missions and from chests and are never sold for money. A duplicate turns into 300 coins, or 900 if it is the shiny version. The full odds and the pity rule are in the gacha guide.
Shiny Slaking exists in this game. One pull in a hundred is a shiny, and wild enemies are shiny one time in 4096. Read the shiny guide for the details.
Slaking as an enemy
Slaking never shows up as a regular enemy because 5-star Pokemon are left out of the enemy cast.
It is also strong enough to be picked as a boss: it can fill the minute 12 or minute 15 slot. Boss fights are laid out in the bosses guide. Its attack set would be a ground slam, a leap onto your position, a fan of shots, and a fan of beams.
