Stats and Stat Score

Snorlax has 142 HP, 91 speed and a 1.31x attack multiplier. The multiplier scales every move it uses, so it is the number to watch.

Compared with the whole roster, its HP is among the best on the roster, its speed is among the lowest on the roster and its attack is above average. Weighting attack at half and HP and speed at a quarter each gives the Stat Score of 70.5, which puts it at rank 125 overall, rank 9 of 151 among Kanto Pokemon and rank 11 of 120 Normal-types. The score comes from the game's stat table, not from playtests, so read it together with the best Pokemon guide.

On the full Pokedex ranking Snorlax sits next to Kingambit one place above it and Vaporeon one place below it.

Snorlax moves

Pokemon that are not starters begin with the signature move of their first type, so Snorlax starts every run with Tackle: charges in an arc at everything in front of you.

The level-up cards can then offer 8 different moves: the 8 Normal moves that every Pokemon shares. Moves level up to level 5 and can evolve once you also take the stat card they need, which is covered in the move evolution guide. The permanent Repertoire upgrade adds a second, random starting move; see the upgrades guide.

Weaknesses and resistances

Snorlax takes extra damage from Fighting (1.6x). It resists Ghost (0.3x). The remaining 16 of 18 types deal normal damage. The chart is softer than the main games: a super-effective hit is x1.6, a resisted hit x0.6 and an immunity x0.3, and two types multiply with each other inside the range 0.3 to 2.4. See the type chart guide for every matchup.

The multipliers apply to the damage you take, and enemies attack with the first type listed for them, so the dangerous enemies for Snorlax are the ones whose first type is Fighting. Boss shots carry their first type too. Weather does not change these numbers, but it changes your own damage; see the weather guide. There is no same-type bonus, so Normal moves do not hit harder just because Snorlax shares the type.

How to get Snorlax

Snorlax is part of the Kanto banner. A single pull first picks a rarity (6.5% for Epic) and then picks one of the 31 Epic Pokemon on that banner at random, so one pull gives Snorlax a 0.21% chance. Without pity helping at this rarity, expect to need around 477 pulls for this one in particular, although the pulls you spend on the banner also fill the rest of your collection.

A pull costs one ticket and ten pulls cost ten tickets or one x10 ticket. Tickets are earned in runs, from missions and from chests and are never sold for money. A duplicate turns into 120 coins, or 360 if it is the shiny version. The full odds and the pity rule are in the gacha guide.

Shiny Snorlax exists in this game. One pull in a hundred is a shiny, and wild enemies are shiny one time in 4096. Read the shiny guide for the details.

Snorlax as an enemy

Snorlax can show up as a regular enemy from 6:20 into the run (enemy tier 5 and 6). Each run draws only seven Pokemon per tier, so it is in some runs and absent from others.

Its enemy role is charger: it stops to aim for about half a second and then dashes in a straight line at more than three times its walking speed.

It is also strong enough to be picked as a boss: it can fill the minute 3, minute 6, or minute 9 slot. Boss fights are laid out in the bosses guide. Its attack set would be a ground slam, a leap onto your position, a fan of shots, and a fan of beams.
