Stats and Stat Score
Dialga has 115 HP, 116 speed and a 1.52x attack multiplier. The multiplier scales every move it uses, so it is the number to watch.

Weighting attack at half and HP and speed at a quarter each gives the Stat Score of 83.7, which puts it at rank 19 overall, rank 2 of 107 among Sinnoh Pokemon and rank 3 of 61 Steel-types and 7 of 67 Dragon-types. The score comes from the game's stat table, not from playtests, so read it together with the best Pokemon guide.

Dialga moves
Pokemon that are not starters begin with the signature move of their first type, so Dialga starts every run with Metal Claw: a steel swipe in an arc.
The level-up cards can then offer 13 different moves: the 8 Normal moves that every Pokemon shares plus 5 moves of its own types. Moves level up to level 5 and can evolve once you also take the stat card they need, which is covered in the move evolution guide. The permanent Repertoire upgrade adds a second, random starting move; see the upgrades guide.
- Normal moves: Tackle, Quick Attack, Swords Dance, Agility, Harden, Body Slam, Hyper Voice, Substitute
- Steel moves: Metal Claw, Flash Cannon, Meteor Mash
- Dragon moves: Dragon Rage, Dragon Dance
Weaknesses and resistances
Dialga takes extra damage from Fighting (1.6x) and Ground (1.6x). It resists Poison (0.3x), Grass (0.36x), Normal (0.6x), Water (0.6x), Electric (0.6x), Flying (0.6x), Psychic (0.6x), Bug (0.6x), Rock (0.6x), and Steel (0.6x). The remaining 6 of 18 types deal normal damage. The chart is softer than the main games: a super-effective hit is x1.6, a resisted hit x0.6 and an immunity x0.3, and two types multiply with each other inside the range 0.3 to 2.4. See the type chart guide for every matchup.
The multipliers apply to the damage you take, and enemies attack with the first type listed for them, so the dangerous enemies for Dialga are the ones whose first type is Fighting or Ground. Boss shots carry their first type too. Weather does not change these numbers, but it changes your own damage; see the weather guide. There is no same-type bonus, so Steel or Dragon moves do not hit harder just because Dialga shares the type.
How to get Dialga
Dialga is part of the Sinnoh banner. A single pull first picks a rarity (1.5% for Legendary) and then picks one of the 15 Legendary Pokemon on that banner at random, so one pull gives Dialga a 0.1% chance. Every banner has its own pity counter: the 70th pull without a 5-star is always a 5-star, which works out to about 43.5 pulls per 5-star and roughly 653 pulls to land this particular one.
A pull costs one ticket and ten pulls cost ten tickets or one x10 ticket. Tickets are earned in runs, from missions and from chests and are never sold for money. A duplicate turns into 300 coins, or 900 if it is the shiny version. The full odds and the pity rule are in the gacha guide.
Shiny Dialga exists in this game. One pull in a hundred is a shiny, and wild enemies are shiny one time in 4096. Read the shiny guide for the details.
Dialga as an enemy
Dialga never shows up as a regular enemy because 5-star Pokemon are left out of the enemy cast.
As a legendary it can also be the opponent in a rift. The game picks a rift legendary at random and favors the ones you have not beaten yet, then builds an arena from one of its types: Steel Fortress (Steel) or Dragon Sanctuary (Dragon). Its attack set is a ground slam, a straight charge, a fan of beams, and a fan of shots. See the rifts guide and the legendaries guide.
