Stats and Stat Score
Infernape has 104 HP, 123 speed and a 1.27x attack multiplier. The multiplier scales every move it uses, so it is the number to watch.
Compared with the whole roster, its HP is above average, its speed is among the best on the roster and its attack is above average. Weighting attack at half and HP and speed at a quarter each gives the Stat Score of 65.1, which puts it at rank 205 overall, rank 28 of 107 among Sinnoh Pokemon and rank 28 of 76 Fire-types and 30 of 68 Fighting-types. The score comes from the game's stat table, not from playtests, so read it together with the best Pokemon guide.
On the full Pokedex ranking Infernape sits next to Ambipom one place above it and Magnezone one place below it.

Infernape moves
Pokemon that are not starters begin with the signature move of their first type, so Infernape starts every run with Ember: a fireball at the nearest enemy.
The level-up cards can then offer 16 different moves: the 8 Normal moves that every Pokemon shares plus 8 moves of its own types. Moves level up to level 5 and can evolve once you also take the stat card they need, which is covered in the move evolution guide. The permanent Repertoire upgrade adds a second, random starting move; see the upgrades guide.
- Normal moves: Tackle, Quick Attack, Swords Dance, Agility, Harden, Body Slam, Hyper Voice, Substitute
- Fire moves: Ember, Flamethrower, Fire Spin, Heat Wave, Will-O-Wisp, Flame Wheel
- Fighting moves: Karate Chop, Aura Sphere
Weaknesses and resistances
Infernape takes extra damage from Water (1.6x), Ground (1.6x), Flying (1.6x), and Psychic (1.6x). It resists Bug (0.36x), Fire (0.6x), Grass (0.6x), Ice (0.6x), Dark (0.6x), and Steel (0.6x). The remaining 8 of 18 types deal normal damage. The chart is softer than the main games: a super-effective hit is x1.6, a resisted hit x0.6 and an immunity x0.3, and two types multiply with each other inside the range 0.3 to 2.4. See the type chart guide for every matchup.
The multipliers apply to the damage you take, and enemies attack with the first type listed for them, so the dangerous enemies for Infernape are the ones whose first type is Water, Ground, Flying, or Psychic. Boss shots carry their first type too. Weather does not change these numbers, but it changes your own damage; see the weather guide. There is no same-type bonus, so Fire or Fighting moves do not hit harder just because Infernape shares the type.
How to get Infernape
Infernape is part of the Sinnoh banner. A single pull first picks a rarity (6.5% for Epic) and then picks one of the 32 Epic Pokemon on that banner at random, so one pull gives Infernape a 0.2% chance. Without pity helping at this rarity, expect to need around 492 pulls for this one in particular, although the pulls you spend on the banner also fill the rest of your collection.
A pull costs one ticket and ten pulls cost ten tickets or one x10 ticket. Tickets are earned in runs, from missions and from chests and are never sold for money. A duplicate turns into 120 coins, or 360 if it is the shiny version. The full odds and the pity rule are in the gacha guide.
Shiny Infernape exists in this game. One pull in a hundred is a shiny, and wild enemies are shiny one time in 4096. Read the shiny guide for the details.
Infernape as an enemy
Infernape can show up as a regular enemy from 6:20 into the run (enemy tier 5 and 6). Each run draws only seven Pokemon per tier, so it is in some runs and absent from others.
Its enemy role is chaser: it walks straight at you and hurts you on contact.
It is also strong enough to be picked as a boss: it can fill the minute 3 or minute 6 slot. Boss fights are laid out in the bosses guide. Its attack set would be a ground slam, a leap onto your position, falling danger zones, and a ring of shots.
