Stats and Stat Score

Seaking has 106 HP, 107 speed and a 1.21x attack multiplier. The multiplier scales every move it uses, so it is the number to watch.

Weighting attack at half and HP and speed at a quarter each gives the Stat Score of 54.7, which puts it at rank 415 overall, rank 60 of 151 among Kanto Pokemon and rank 58 of 149 Water-types. The score comes from the game's stat table, not from playtests, so read it together with the best Pokemon guide.

Seaking moves

Pokemon that are not starters begin with the signature move of their first type, so Seaking starts every run with Water Gun: a piercing jet. Reliable at any range.

The level-up cards can then offer 13 different moves: the 8 Normal moves that every Pokemon shares plus 5 moves of its own type. Moves level up to level 5 and can evolve once you also take the stat card they need, which is covered in the move evolution guide. The permanent Repertoire upgrade adds a second, random starting move; see the upgrades guide.

Weaknesses and resistances

Seaking takes extra damage from Electric (1.6x) and Grass (1.6x). It resists Fire (0.6x), Water (0.6x), Ice (0.6x), and Steel (0.6x). The remaining 12 of 18 types deal normal damage. The chart is softer than the main games: a super-effective hit is x1.6, a resisted hit x0.6 and an immunity x0.3, and two types multiply with each other inside the range 0.3 to 2.4. See the type chart guide for every matchup.

The multipliers apply to the damage you take, and enemies attack with the first type listed for them, so the dangerous enemies for Seaking are the ones whose first type is Electric or Grass. Boss shots carry their first type too. Weather does not change these numbers, but it changes your own damage; see the weather guide. There is no same-type bonus, so Water moves do not hit harder just because Seaking shares the type.

How to get Seaking

Seaking is part of the Kanto banner. A single pull first picks a rarity (17% for Rare) and then picks one of the 38 Rare Pokemon on that banner at random, so one pull gives Seaking a 0.45% chance. Without pity helping at this rarity, expect to need around 224 pulls for this one in particular, although the pulls you spend on the banner also fill the rest of your collection.

A pull costs one ticket and ten pulls cost ten tickets or one x10 ticket. Tickets are earned in runs, from missions and from chests and are never sold for money. A duplicate turns into 60 coins, or 180 if it is the shiny version. The full odds and the pity rule are in the gacha guide.

A rarity-3 Pokemon like Seaking can also turn up as the Lost Pokemon event in a run. Lead it to the marker and, one time in five, it joins your collection; you always get coins, a ticket and a heal.

Shiny Seaking exists in this game. One pull in a hundred is a shiny, and wild enemies are shiny one time in 4096. Read the shiny guide for the details.

Seaking as an enemy

Seaking can show up as a regular enemy from 2:40 into the run (enemy tier 3 and 4). Each run draws only seven Pokemon per tier, so it is in some runs and absent from others.

Its enemy role is fan shooter: it fires a fan of shots in your direction.
