Stats and Stat Score
Seel has 99 HP, 97 speed and a 0.95x attack multiplier. The multiplier scales every move it uses, so it is the number to watch.
Compared with the whole roster, its HP is about average, its speed is below average and its attack is among the lowest on the roster. Weighting attack at half and HP and speed at a quarter each gives the Stat Score of 29.6, which puts it at rank 842 overall, rank 135 of 151 among Kanto Pokemon and rank 134 of 149 Water-types. The score comes from the game's stat table, not from playtests, so read it together with the best Pokemon guide.
On the full Pokedex ranking Seel sits next to Cherubi one place above it and Pawmi one place below it.

Seel moves
Pokemon that are not starters begin with the signature move of their first type, so Seel starts every run with Water Gun: a piercing jet. Reliable at any range.
The level-up cards can then offer 13 different moves: the 8 Normal moves that every Pokemon shares plus 5 moves of its own type. Moves level up to level 5 and can evolve once you also take the stat card they need, which is covered in the move evolution guide. The permanent Repertoire upgrade adds a second, random starting move; see the upgrades guide.
- Normal moves: Tackle, Quick Attack, Swords Dance, Agility, Harden, Body Slam, Hyper Voice, Substitute
- Water moves: Water Gun, Bubble, Hydro Pump, Aqua Ring, Bubble Beam
Weaknesses and resistances
Seel takes extra damage from Electric (1.6x) and Grass (1.6x). It resists Fire (0.6x), Water (0.6x), Ice (0.6x), and Steel (0.6x). The remaining 12 of 18 types deal normal damage. The chart is softer than the main games: a super-effective hit is x1.6, a resisted hit x0.6 and an immunity x0.3, and two types multiply with each other inside the range 0.3 to 2.4. See the type chart guide for every matchup.
The multipliers apply to the damage you take, and enemies attack with the first type listed for them, so the dangerous enemies for Seel are the ones whose first type is Electric or Grass. Boss shots carry their first type too. Weather does not change these numbers, but it changes your own damage; see the weather guide. There is no same-type bonus, so Water moves do not hit harder just because Seel shares the type.
How to get Seel
Seel is part of the Kanto banner. A single pull first picks a rarity (30% for Uncommon) and then picks one of the 41 Uncommon Pokemon on that banner at random, so one pull gives Seel a 0.73% chance. Without pity helping at this rarity, expect to need around 137 pulls for this one in particular, although the pulls you spend on the banner also fill the rest of your collection.
A pull costs one ticket and ten pulls cost ten tickets or one x10 ticket. Tickets are earned in runs, from missions and from chests and are never sold for money. A duplicate turns into 30 coins, or 90 if it is the shiny version. The full odds and the pity rule are in the gacha guide.
A rarity-2 Pokemon like Seel can also turn up as the Lost Pokemon event in a run. Lead it to the marker and, one time in five, it joins your collection; you always get coins, a ticket and a heal.
Shiny Seel exists in this game. One pull in a hundred is a shiny, and wild enemies are shiny one time in 4096. Read the shiny guide for the details.
Seel as an enemy
Seel can show up as a regular enemy from 0:00 into the run (enemy tier 1 and 2). Each run draws only seven Pokemon per tier, so it is in some runs and absent from others.
Its enemy role is chaser: it walks straight at you and hurts you on contact.
