Stats and Stat Score
Decidueye has 105 HP, 107 speed and a 1.29x attack multiplier. The multiplier scales every move it uses, so it is the number to watch.
Compared with the whole roster, its HP is above average, its speed is about average and its attack is above average. Weighting attack at half and HP and speed at a quarter each gives the Stat Score of 59.6, which puts it at rank 320 overall, rank 38 of 83 among Alola Pokemon and rank 31 of 118 Grass-types and 25 of 60 Ghost-types. The score comes from the game's stat table, not from playtests, so read it together with the best Pokemon guide.

Decidueye moves
Pokemon that are not starters begin with the signature move of their first type, so Decidueye starts every run with Vine Whip: long-range whips in a wide arc.
The level-up cards can then offer 15 different moves: the 8 Normal moves that every Pokemon shares plus 7 moves of its own types. Moves level up to level 5 and can evolve once you also take the stat card they need, which is covered in the move evolution guide. The permanent Repertoire upgrade adds a second, random starting move; see the upgrades guide.
- Normal moves: Tackle, Quick Attack, Swords Dance, Agility, Harden, Body Slam, Hyper Voice, Substitute
- Grass moves: Vine Whip, Razor Leaf, Petal Blizzard, Grass Knot
- Ghost moves: Lick, Shadow Ball, Hex
Weaknesses and resistances
Decidueye takes extra damage from Fire (1.6x), Ice (1.6x), Flying (1.6x), Ghost (1.6x), and Dark (1.6x). It resists Normal (0.3x), Fighting (0.3x), Water (0.6x), Electric (0.6x), Grass (0.6x), and Ground (0.6x). The remaining 7 of 18 types deal normal damage. The chart is softer than the main games: a super-effective hit is x1.6, a resisted hit x0.6 and an immunity x0.3, and two types multiply with each other inside the range 0.3 to 2.4. See the type chart guide for every matchup.
The multipliers apply to the damage you take, and enemies attack with the first type listed for them, so the dangerous enemies for Decidueye are the ones whose first type is Fire, Ice, Flying, Ghost, or Dark. Boss shots carry their first type too. Weather does not change these numbers, but it changes your own damage; see the weather guide. There is no same-type bonus, so Grass or Ghost moves do not hit harder just because Decidueye shares the type.
How to get Decidueye
Decidueye is part of the Alola banner. A single pull first picks a rarity (6.5% for Epic) and then picks one of the 20 Epic Pokemon on that banner at random, so one pull gives Decidueye a 0.33% chance. Without pity helping at this rarity, expect to need around 308 pulls for this one in particular, although the pulls you spend on the banner also fill the rest of your collection.
A pull costs one ticket and ten pulls cost ten tickets or one x10 ticket. Tickets are earned in runs, from missions and from chests and are never sold for money. A duplicate turns into 120 coins, or 360 if it is the shiny version. The full odds and the pity rule are in the gacha guide.
Shiny Decidueye exists in this game. One pull in a hundred is a shiny, and wild enemies are shiny one time in 4096. Read the shiny guide for the details.
Decidueye as an enemy
Decidueye can show up as a regular enemy from 6:20 into the run (enemy tier 5 and 6). Each run draws only seven Pokemon per tier, so it is in some runs and absent from others.
Its enemy role is shooter: it keeps its distance and fires shots at you from range.
It is also strong enough to be picked as a boss: it can fill the minute 3 or minute 6 slot. Boss fights are laid out in the bosses guide. Its attack set would be a ground slam, a straight charge, falling danger zones, and a fan of beams.
