Stats and Stat Score
Dragonite has 111 HP, 112 speed and a 1.44x attack multiplier. The multiplier scales every move it uses, so it is the number to watch.
Compared with the whole roster, its HP is well above average, its speed is above average and its attack is among the best on the roster. Weighting attack at half and HP and speed at a quarter each gives the Stat Score of 74.7, which puts it at rank 76 overall, rank 2 of 151 among Kanto Pokemon and rank 21 of 67 Dragon-types and 9 of 102 Flying-types. The score comes from the game's stat table, not from playtests, so read it together with the best Pokemon guide.

Dragonite moves
Pokemon that are not starters begin with the signature move of their first type, so Dragonite starts every run with Dragon Rage: draconic flames in a straight line.
The level-up cards can then offer 13 different moves: the 8 Normal moves that every Pokemon shares plus 5 moves of its own types. Moves level up to level 5 and can evolve once you also take the stat card they need, which is covered in the move evolution guide. The permanent Repertoire upgrade adds a second, random starting move; see the upgrades guide.
- Normal moves: Tackle, Quick Attack, Swords Dance, Agility, Harden, Body Slam, Hyper Voice, Substitute
- Dragon moves: Dragon Rage, Dragon Dance
- Flying moves: Gust, Wing Attack, Aerial Ace
Weaknesses and resistances
Dragonite takes extra damage from Ice (2.4x), Rock (1.6x), Dragon (1.6x), and Fairy (1.6x). It resists Ground (0.3x), Grass (0.36x), Fire (0.6x), Water (0.6x), Fighting (0.6x), and Bug (0.6x). The remaining 8 of 18 types deal normal damage. The chart is softer than the main games: a super-effective hit is x1.6, a resisted hit x0.6 and an immunity x0.3, and two types multiply with each other inside the range 0.3 to 2.4. See the type chart guide for every matchup.
The multipliers apply to the damage you take, and enemies attack with the first type listed for them, so the dangerous enemies for Dragonite are the ones whose first type is Ice, Rock, Dragon, or Fairy, which hit for up to 2.4x. Boss shots carry their first type too. Weather does not change these numbers, but it changes your own damage; see the weather guide. There is no same-type bonus, so Dragon or Flying moves do not hit harder just because Dragonite shares the type.
How to get Dragonite
Dragonite is part of the Kanto banner. A single pull first picks a rarity (1.5% for Legendary) and then picks one of the 6 Legendary Pokemon on that banner at random, so one pull gives Dragonite a 0.25% chance. Every banner has its own pity counter: the 70th pull without a 5-star is always a 5-star, which works out to about 43.5 pulls per 5-star and roughly 261 pulls to land this particular one.
A pull costs one ticket and ten pulls cost ten tickets or one x10 ticket. Tickets are earned in runs, from missions and from chests and are never sold for money. A duplicate turns into 300 coins, or 900 if it is the shiny version. The full odds and the pity rule are in the gacha guide.
Shiny Dragonite exists in this game. One pull in a hundred is a shiny, and wild enemies are shiny one time in 4096. Read the shiny guide for the details.
Dragonite as an enemy
Dragonite never shows up as a regular enemy because 5-star Pokemon are left out of the enemy cast.
It is also strong enough to be picked as a boss: it can fill the minute 9, minute 12, or minute 15 slot. Boss fights are laid out in the bosses guide. Its attack set would be a ground slam, a straight charge, a fan of beams, and falling danger zones.
