Stats and Stat Score
Doublade has 97 HP, 93 speed and a 1.31x attack multiplier. The multiplier scales every move it uses, so it is the number to watch.
Compared with the whole roster, its HP is below average, its speed is among the lowest on the roster and its attack is above average. Weighting attack at half and HP and speed at a quarter each gives the Stat Score of 50.9, which puts it at rank 485 overall, rank 32 of 70 among Kalos Pokemon and rank 33 of 61 Steel-types and 35 of 60 Ghost-types. The score comes from the game's stat table, not from playtests, so read it together with the best Pokemon guide.
On the full Pokedex ranking Doublade sits next to Mantine one place above it and Braixen one place below it.

Doublade moves
Pokemon that are not starters begin with the signature move of their first type, so Doublade starts every run with Metal Claw: a steel swipe in an arc.
The level-up cards can then offer 14 different moves: the 8 Normal moves that every Pokemon shares plus 6 moves of its own types. Moves level up to level 5 and can evolve once you also take the stat card they need, which is covered in the move evolution guide. The permanent Repertoire upgrade adds a second, random starting move; see the upgrades guide.
- Normal moves: Tackle, Quick Attack, Swords Dance, Agility, Harden, Body Slam, Hyper Voice, Substitute
- Steel moves: Metal Claw, Flash Cannon, Meteor Mash
- Ghost moves: Lick, Shadow Ball, Hex
Weaknesses and resistances
Doublade takes extra damage from Fire (1.6x), Ground (1.6x), Ghost (1.6x), and Dark (1.6x). It resists Normal (0.3x), Poison (0.3x), Bug (0.36x), Fighting (0.48x), Grass (0.6x), Ice (0.6x), Flying (0.6x), Psychic (0.6x), Rock (0.6x), Dragon (0.6x), Steel (0.6x), and Fairy (0.6x). The remaining 2 of 18 types deal normal damage. The chart is softer than the main games: a super-effective hit is x1.6, a resisted hit x0.6 and an immunity x0.3, and two types multiply with each other inside the range 0.3 to 2.4. See the type chart guide for every matchup.
The multipliers apply to the damage you take, and enemies attack with the first type listed for them, so the dangerous enemies for Doublade are the ones whose first type is Fire, Ground, Ghost, or Dark. Boss shots carry their first type too. Weather does not change these numbers, but it changes your own damage; see the weather guide. There is no same-type bonus, so Steel or Ghost moves do not hit harder just because Doublade shares the type.
How to get Doublade
Doublade is part of the Kalos banner. A single pull first picks a rarity (17% for Rare) and then picks one of the 14 Rare Pokemon on that banner at random, so one pull gives Doublade a 1.21% chance. Without pity helping at this rarity, expect to need around 82 pulls for this one in particular, although the pulls you spend on the banner also fill the rest of your collection.
A pull costs one ticket and ten pulls cost ten tickets or one x10 ticket. Tickets are earned in runs, from missions and from chests and are never sold for money. A duplicate turns into 60 coins, or 180 if it is the shiny version. The full odds and the pity rule are in the gacha guide.
A rarity-3 Pokemon like Doublade can also turn up as the Lost Pokemon event in a run. Lead it to the marker and, one time in five, it joins your collection; you always get coins, a ticket and a heal.
Shiny Doublade exists in this game. One pull in a hundred is a shiny, and wild enemies are shiny one time in 4096. Read the shiny guide for the details.
Doublade as an enemy
Doublade can show up as a regular enemy from 2:40 into the run (enemy tier 3 and 4). Each run draws only seven Pokemon per tier, so it is in some runs and absent from others.
Its enemy role is shooter: it keeps its distance and fires shots at you from range.
