What the Gloomy Graveyard is

A rift is a short fight against a legendary Pokemon. When the game opens one, it picks a legendary and then one of that legendary's types, and the arena of that type is where the fight happens. Gloomy Graveyard is the arena for Ghost. It is a circle about 11 tiles in radius, the fight lasts at most 120 seconds, and the legendary does not suffer the hazards of its own arena.

Dead trees. Columns are rare, so there is little to hide behind.

Gloomy Graveyard terrain

Dead trees. None of it hurts you or slows you down, which makes this one of the arenas where a pure damage build can stand and trade without worrying about the floor.

The danger comes from the legendary alone. Its warnings appear on the ground before every hit, so the fight is a test of movement and of how much damage you can deal inside 120 seconds.

Weather in the Gloomy Graveyard: Fog

Fog is forced for the whole fight. Ghost, Fairy and Psychic moves hit 30% harder.

The multipliers apply to the legendary's attacks as well. An enemy attacks as its first type, so 4 legendaries here hit harder in this weather (Giratina, Hoopa, Lunala, and Spectrier).

Moves worth carrying here: Lick, Shadow Ball, Hex, Fairy Wind, Dazzling Gleam, Confusion, Psybeam, Psychic and more. The weather guide lists every multiplier.
